SOPHIE WADE, MBA

Sophie is a work futurist, international keynote speaker, founder and Workforce Innovation Specialist at Flexcel Network who is an authority on Future-of-Work issues.

Her first book, “Embracing Progress: Next Steps for the Future of Work”, was an Executive MBA Program textbook and required reading for several management school leadership courses.

Her new book, “Empathy Works: The Key to Competitive Advantage in the New Era of Work” was released May 2022 noted to be “An insightful and practical must-read for leaders focused on the future.” by Kirkus Reviews.

Sophie is a LinkedIn Instructor with SHRM-certified video courses. Her five courses cover Future of Work skills, Generation Z (with a skills-first approach), and Empathy which over 550,000 have taken. Her courses have been translated into six languages. She has a widely-popular podcast “Transforming Work with Sophie Wade”.

Sophie has held senior management, strategy and finance roles around the world, working in media, technology, and venture capital for companies such as IMG and Yahoo. Sophie studied at Oxford University (BA) and international business school, INSEAD (MBA). For the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), she served as NYC chapter President 2015-17, and on NAWBO National’s Presidents’ Assembly Steering Committee 2016-19. She serves on the NY Advisory Board of Common Sense Media.
